 National Apprenticeship Week 2016

National Apprenticeship Week will run from Monday 14th March - Friday 18th March. Asset Training have lots planned, we'll be in local schools in the Sefton borough delivering presentations on the options available after school at 16. We'll also be working closely alongside the Sefton Provider Network a partnership of various colleges and training providers who deliver Apprenticeships in Sefton.

Colour Run 2015 

On Saturday September 25th members of the Asset Training team ran the 5k Colour Obstacle in Aintree Racecourse and also raised money for cancer research! Well done Girls!

Another Quality Award for ASSET TRAINING 

Ruth Smith, Operations Manager and Peter McEvoy, Managing Director at Asset Training & Consultancy Ltd received the prestigious unionlearn Quality Award from Brendan Barber, TUC General Secretary and Dr Mary Bousted, General Secretary of the ATL (Association of Teachers and Lecturers).

The award was made at the unionlearn annual conference, for working in partnership with the employer and trade unions at Sefton Council to support Aprenticeships. Asset now joins over 100 education providers which have received the award.

The unionlearn Quality Award is awarded to providers in the learning world who are committed to working with trade unions. Awards are made to providers who demonstrate that unions and union learners are considered in the design, development and delivery of courses and programmes. Those providers achieving the unionlearn Quality Award will be included on the unionlearn website which receives over one million hits per month.

TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber said: 'I am delighted to see Asset Training & Consultancy Ltd receive the unionlearn Quality Award for its outstanding work. Unionlearn is workling closely with education providers not only to encourage workplace learning, but also to champion career progression. I am extremely proud of the work of unions and union reps have done in enabling workers to access all levels of education.'

Dr Mary Bousted, ATL General Secretary said: 'I am delighted to present the unionlearn Quality Award to Asset Training & Consultancy Ltd in recognition of its excellent work with trade unions. It is playing an important role in raising skills levels throughout Liverpool and helping individuals to develop their full potential. As general secretary of a teaching union, I know and respect the hard work undertaken by staff at the organization, which is enabling working people to change their lives through learning.'

Ruth Smith, Operations Manager said: 'Asset is proud to be recognised by unionlearn with its prestigious Quality Award which reflects our ongoing partnership working with employers and union learning reps (ULRs) to help employees achieve their full potential through an Apprenticeship. Our work within Sefton Council has been very rewarding for all parties and a contributory factor has been the proactive support of the ULRs in encouraging participation. We are also keen to widen participation and raise awareness of Apprenticeships and have selected two of our own Apprentices to undertake training provided by unionlearn to support their role as Apprenticeship Champions.'
